THRESHOLDS: A CHORUS
//
Thresholds - a chorus is a meditation on transience and the passing of time. It uses imagery of subterranean landscapes to explore ethereal liminal spaces that exist beyond the familiar, brightly-lit bustling city stations or just beneath busy civic squares.
Thresholds - a chorus is a three-channel video work (with sound) that is intended to be projected large-scale to create an immersive video installation. This artwork has come from a body of work undertaken during a residency with Sydney Trains between 2016 and 2019, and responds to some of the underground spaces that are connected to Sydney's St. James Station.
This artwork was created with the support of a 2018 CREATE grant from the Copyright Agency's Cultural Fund, Sydney Trains and GREYSPACE.
